13th SD Battalion Byelorussian

Two troops from the 13th SD Battalion Byelorussian [Weissruthenisches Polizei (SD)-Bataillon No 13]----this outfit was formed in 1942 and served as principally as an anti-partisan unit; but as the Germans regarded the Jewish population as the instigators of all partisan  ops... they'd have been used in anti -Jewish actions as well!!!! This unit was disbanded, when the German did their usual tricks and sacked all the Byelorussian officers and replaced them with unsympathetic German NCO's and Junior officers. The so called 'reliable' elements formed the nuclei for the 30th SS Division which included ex Schuma batts, BKA and any stragglers from 'Operation Bagration', when the Russian took over Byelorussia again.
